2022-02-22scsi: zalon: Stop using the SCSI pointerBart Van Assche
Set .cmd_size in the SCSI host template instead of using the SCSI pointer from struct scsi_cmnd. This patch prepares for removal of the SCSI pointer from struct scsi_cmnd. 2021-08-30parisc: Make struct parisc_driver::remove() return voidUwe Kleine-König
The caller of this function (parisc_driver_remove() in arch/parisc/kernel/drivers.c) ignores the return value, so better don't return any value at all to not wake wrong expectations in driver authors. The only function that could return a non-zero value before was ipmi_parisc_remove() which returns the return value of ipmi_si_remove_by_dev(). Make this function return void, too, as for all other callers the value is ignored, too. Also fold in a small checkpatch fix for: WARNING: Unnecessary space before function pointer arguments + void (*remove) (struct parisc_device *dev); Acked-by: Dmitry Torokhov <dmitry.torokhov@gmail.com> (for drivers/input) Signed-off-by: Uwe Kleine-König <u.kleine-koenig@pengutronix.de> Acked-by: Sudip Mukherjee <sudipm.mukherjee@gmail.com> Acked-by: Jiri Slaby <jirislaby@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Helge Deller <deller@gmx.de>

2019-05-21treewide: Add SPDX license identifier for more missed filesThomas Gleixner
Add SPDX license identifiers to all files which: - Have no license information of any form - Have MODULE_LICENCE("GPL*") inside which was used in the initial scan/conversion to ignore the file These files fall under the project license, GPL v2 only. The resulting SPDX license identifier is: GPL-2.0-only Signed-off-by: Thomas Gleixner <tglx@linutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>

2017-03-15scsi: remove incorrect __exit markupsDmitry Torokhov
Even if bus is not hot-pluggable, devices can be unbound from the driver via sysfs, so we should not be using __exit annotations on remove() methods. The only exception is drivers registered with platform_driver_probe() which specifically disables sysfs bind/unbind attributes. 2013-01-03Drivers: scsi: remove __dev* attributes.Greg Kroah-Hartman
CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As a result, the __dev* markings need to be removed. This change removes the use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst, and __devexit from these drivers. Based on patches originally written by Bill Pemberton, but redone by me in order to handle some of the coding style issues better, by hand. 2009-06-25[SCSI] zalon: fix oops on attach failureJames Bottomley
I recently discovered on my zalon that if the attachment fails because of a bus misconfiguration (I scrapped my HVD array, so the card is now unterminated) then the system oopses. The reason is that if ncr_attach() returns NULL (signalling failure) that NULL is passed by the goto failed straight into ncr_detach() which oopses. The fix is just to return -ENODEV in this case. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
