2021-03-10usb: common: move function's kerneldoc next to its definitionChunfeng Yun
Following a general rule, add the kerneldoc for a function next to it's definition, but not next to its declaration in a header file. 2020-07-21USB: Replace HTTP links with HTTPS onesAlexander A. Klimov
Rationale: Reduces attack surface on kernel devs opening the links for MITM as HTTPS traffic is much harder to manipulate. Deterministic algorithm: For each file: If not .svg: For each line: If doesn't contain `\bxmlns\b`: For each link, `\bhttp://[^# \t\r\n]*(?:\w|/)`: If neither `\bgnu\.org/license`, nor `\bmozilla\.org/MPL\b`: If both the HTTP and HTTPS versions return 200 OK and serve the same content: Replace HTTP with HTTPS. 2020-07-03usb: common: debug: Demote comment blocks which are obviously not kerneldocLee Jones
File headers and simple comments are not kerneldoc worthy. Fixes the following W=1 warnings: drivers/usb/common/debug.c:15: warning: Function parameter or member 'bRequestType' not described in 'usb_decode_get_status' drivers/usb/common/debug.c:15: warning: Function parameter or member 'wIndex' not described in 'usb_decode_get_status' drivers/usb/common/debug.c:15: warning: Function parameter or member 'wLength' not described in 'usb_decode_get_status' drivers/usb/common/debug.c:15: warning: Function parameter or member 'str' not described in 'usb_decode_get_status' drivers/usb/common/debug.c:15: warning: Function parameter or member 'size' not described in 'usb_decode_get_status' drivers/usb/common/debug.c:216: warning: Function parameter or member 'str' not described in 'usb_decode_ctrl' drivers/usb/common/debug.c:216: warning: Function parameter or member 'size' not described in 'usb_decode_ctrl' drivers/usb/common/debug.c:216: warning: Function parameter or member 'bRequestType' not described in 'usb_decode_ctrl' drivers/usb/common/debug.c:216: warning: Function parameter or member 'bRequest' not described in 'usb_decode_ctrl' drivers/usb/common/debug.c:216: warning: Function parameter or member 'wValue' not described in 'usb_decode_ctrl' drivers/usb/common/debug.c:216: warning: Function parameter or member 'wIndex' not described in 'usb_decode_ctrl' drivers/usb/common/debug.c:216: warning: Function parameter or member 'wLength' not described in 'usb_decode_ctrl' Cc: Pawel Laszczak <pawell@cadence.com> Cc: Felipe Balbi <felipe.balbi@linux.intel.com> Cc: Andrzej Siewior <bigeasy@linutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20200702144625.2533530-4-lee.jones@linaro.org Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
2020-06-24USB: ch9: add "USB_" prefix in front of TEST definesGreg Kroah-Hartman
For some reason, the TEST_ defines in the usb/ch9.h files did not have the USB_ prefix on it, making it a bit confusing when reading the file, as well as not the nicest thing to do in a uapi file. So fix that up and add the USB_ prefix on to them, and fix up all in-kernel usages. This included deleting the duplicate copy in the net2272.h file. 2019-08-29usb: common: Separated decoding functions from dwc3 driver.Pawel Laszczak
Patch moves some decoding functions from driver/usb/dwc3/debug.h driver to driver/usb/common/debug.c file. These moved functions include: dwc3_decode_get_status dwc3_decode_set_clear_feature dwc3_decode_set_address dwc3_decode_get_set_descriptor dwc3_decode_get_configuration dwc3_decode_set_configuration dwc3_decode_get_intf dwc3_decode_set_intf dwc3_decode_synch_frame dwc3_decode_set_sel dwc3_decode_set_isoch_delay dwc3_decode_ctrl These functions are used also in inroduced cdns3 driver. All functions prefixes were changed from dwc3 to usb. Also, function's parameters has been extended according to the name of fields in standard SETUP packet. Additionally, patch adds usb_decode_ctrl function to include/linux/usb/ch9.h file. Signed-off-by: Pawel Laszczak <pawell@cadence.com> Signed-off-by: Felipe Balbi <felipe.balbi@linux.intel.com>
