When the CS35L41 loads its firmware, it has a number of controls to
affect its behaviour. Currently, these controls are exposed as ALSA
Controls.
These controls were never intended to be exposed to users but the
firmware doesn't mark them hidden, so make the driver ignore them.
Any changes in the coefficients handled by these controls needs to
be matched to the individual system by SSID, which is already handled
using the tuning file, when firmware is loaded, so UCM should not be
setting these controls anyway.

There is one codec shared across all of the bound HDA components and a
copy is usually stashed in the amp driver so it doesn't need to be in
every hda_component.

The cs35l41_hda_unbind() function clears the hda_component entry
matching it's index and then dereferences the codec pointer held in the
first element of the hda_component array, this is an issue when the
device index was 0.
Instead use the codec pointer stashed in the cs35l41_hda structure as it
will still be valid.

IRQs used for CS35L41 HDA are used to detect and attempt to recover
from errors. Without these interrupts, the driver should behave as
normal.
For laptops which contain a bad configuration for the interrupt in the
BIOS, the current behaviour of failing when trying to configure the
interrupt means the probe fails, and audio is broken.
It is better for the user experience if the driver instead warns that
no interrupt is configured rather than simply failing.
The drawback is that if an error occurs without the interrupt, we
firstly would not be able to trace the issue, and secondly would not
be able to attempt to recover from the issue, but this is better than
failing immediately.

Notes:
[1]: Overhead
To measure the overhead we are comparing the following configurations:
(1) Baseline with CONFIG_MEMCG_KMEM=n
(2) Disabled by default (CONFIG_MEM_ALLOC_PROFILING=y &&
CONFIG_MEM_ALLOC_PROFILING_BY_DEFAULT=n)
(3) Enabled by default (CONFIG_MEM_ALLOC_PROFILING=y &&
CONFIG_MEM_ALLOC_PROFILING_BY_DEFAULT=y)
(4) Enabled at runtime (CONFIG_MEM_ALLOC_PROFILING=y &&
CONFIG_MEM_ALLOC_PROFILING_BY_DEFAULT=n && /proc/sys/vm/mem_profiling=1)
(5) Baseline with CONFIG_MEMCG_KMEM=y && allocating with __GFP_ACCOUNT
(6) Disabled by default (CONFIG_MEM_ALLOC_PROFILING=y &&
CONFIG_MEM_ALLOC_PROFILING_BY_DEFAULT=n) && CONFIG_MEMCG_KMEM=y
(7) Enabled by default (CONFIG_MEM_ALLOC_PROFILING=y &&
CONFIG_MEM_ALLOC_PROFILING_BY_DEFAULT=y) && CONFIG_MEMCG_KMEM=y
Performance overhead:
To evaluate performance we implemented an in-kernel test executing
multiple get_free_page/free_page and kmalloc/kfree calls with allocation
sizes growing from 8 to 240 bytes with CPU frequency set to max and CPU
affinity set to a specific CPU to minimize the noise. Below are results

The original mechanism for applying calibration assumed that the
calibration data would be ordered the same as the amp instances.
However, for some 4 amp laptops, this is not the case.
To ensure that the correct calibration is applied to the correct amp,
the calibration data contains a unique id, which matches a unique id
inside the CS35L41. This can be used to match to the correct data
entry. This mechanism is available inside the shared module cs-amp-lib.

Currently, all PC systems are set to use VBSTMON for DSP1RX5_SRC,
however, this is required only for external boost systems.
Internal boost systems require VPMON instead of VBSTMON to be the
input to DSP1RX5_SRC.
All systems require DSP1RX6_SRC to be set to VBSTMON.
Also fix incorrect comment for DACPCM1_SRC to use DSP1TX1.

Some systems requires different max PCM Gains settings than the default.
The current default value, when running firmware is 17.5 dB, which is
used for all systems. Some systems require lower values.
Value when running without firmware is 4.5 dB and remains unchanged.
Since the gain value is dependent on Tuning and Firmware, it can
change, so it cannot be saved in _DSD. Instead we can store it inside
a configuration binary file alongside the Firmware and Tuning files.
The gain value increments in steps of 1 dB, with value 0 representing
0.5 dB. The max value is 20, which corresponds to 20.5 dB.

Some laptops without _DSD have the SPI speed set very low in the BIOS.
Since the SPI controller uses this speed as its max speed, the SPI
transactions are very slow. Firmware download writes to many registers,
and if the SPI speed is too slow, it can take a long time to download.
For this reason, disable firmware loading if the maximum SPI speed is
too low. Without Firmware, audio playback will work, but the volume
will be low to ensure safe operation of the CS35L41.

This state duplicates the running state inside cs_dsp, so is not necessary.
Remove it, and use cs_dsp.running instead.
This brings the CS35L41 HDA driver more inline with its ASoC version,
allowing the same state to be used when calling library functions.

To ensure the chip has correctly reset during probe and system suspend,
we need to force a software reset, in case of systems where the
hardware reset is not available.
The software reset register was labelled as volatile but not readable,
however, it is readable, (just returns 0x0). Adding it to readable
registers means it will be correctly treated as volatile, and thus
will not be cached.

During initial probe, after reset is asserted for the first time, the
driver goes through a boot process to ensure the amp is ready to be
used. This involves verifying a boot flag, as well as verifying the
chip ids.
This is necessary since it is possible for the amp to have been fully
reset by the system suspend calls.

ASoC: Updates for v6.7
This is quite a large set of changes but mostly due to API cleanups and
in driver specific ways rather than due to anything subsystem wide.
Highlights include:
- Standardisation of API prefixes on snd_soc_, removing asoc_.
- GPIO API usage improvements.
- Support for HDA patches.
- Lots of work on SOF, including crash dump support.
- Support for AMD platforms with es83xx, Awinc AT87390, many Intel
platforms, many Mediatek platforms, Qualcomm SM6115, Richtek RTQ9128
and Texas Instruments TAS575x.

When the CS35L41 amp is requested to mute using the ACPI
notification mechanism, userspace is not notified that the amp
is muted. To allow userspace to know about the mute, add an
ALSA control which tracks the forced mute override.
This control does not track the overall mute state of the amp,
since the amp is only unmuted during playback anyway, instead
it tracks the mute override request from the ACPI notification.

Some laptops require a hardware based mute system, where when a hotkey
is pressed, it forces the amp to be muted.
For CS35L41, when the hotkey is pressed, an acpi notification is sent
to the CS35L41 Device Node. The driver needs to handle this notification
and call a _DSM function to retrieve the mute state.
Since the amp is only muted during playback, the driver will only mute
or unmute if playback is occurring, otherwise it will save the mute
state for when playback starts.
This uses the ACPI Notification mechanism, where a handler has been
registered in the component master, which notifies each amp through
the component binding.

Enabling the active/passive shared boosts requires setting SYNC_EN, but
*not* before receiving the PLL Lock signal.
Due to improper error handling, it was not obvious that waiting for the
completion operation times out and, consequently, the shared boost is
never activated.
Further investigations revealed the signal is triggered while
snd_pcm_start() is executed, right after receiving the
SNDRV_PCM_TRIGGER_START command, which happens long after the
SND_SOC_DAPM_PRE_PMU event handler is invoked as part of
snd_pcm_prepare(). That is where cs35l41_global_enable() is called
from.
Increasing the wait duration doesn't help, as it only causes an
unnecessary delay in the invocation of snd_pcm_start(). Moving the wait
and the subsequent regmap operations to the SNDRV_PCM_TRIGGER_START
callback is not a solution either, since they would be executed in an
IRQ-off atomic context.
Solve the issue by setting the SYNC_EN bit in PWR_CTRL3 register right
after receiving the PLL Lock interrupt.
Additionally, drop the unnecessary writes to PWR_CTRL1 register, part of
the original mdsync_up_seq, which would have toggled GLOBAL_EN with
unwanted consequences on PLL locking behavior.

In order to correctly pause audio on suspend, amps using external boost
require parts of the pause sequence to be called for all amps before moving
on to the next steps.
For example, as part of pausing the audio, the VSPK GPIO must be disabled,
but since this GPIO is controlled by one amp, but controls the boost for
all amps, it is required to separate the calls.
During playback this is achieved by using the pre and post playback hooks,
however during system suspend, this is not possible, so to separate the
calls, we use both the .prepare and .suspend calls to pause the audio.
Currently, for this reason, we do not restart audio on system resume.
However, we can support this by relying on the playback hook to resume
playback after system suspend.

Use new hooks to ensure separation between play/pause actions,
as required by external boost.
External Boost on CS35L41 requires the amp to go through a
particular sequence of steps. One of these steps involes
the setting of a GPIO. This GPIO is connected to one or
more of the amps, and it may control the boost for all of
the amps. To ensure that the GPIO is set when it is safe
to do so, and to ensure that boost is ready for the rest of
the sequence to be able to continue, we must ensure that
the each part of the sequence is executed for each amp
before moving on to the next part of the sequence.
Some of the Play and Pause actions have moved from Open to
Prepare. This is because Open is not guaranteed to be called
again on system resume, whereas Prepare should.

To enable the speaker output in external boost mode, 2 registers must
be set, one after another. The longer the time between the writes of
the two registers, the more likely, and more loudly a pop may occur.
To minimize this, an mbox command can be used to allow the firmware
to perform this action, minimizing any delay between write, thus
minimizing any pop or click as a result. The old method will remain
when running without firmware.
