The Goodix GT7986U touch controller report touch data according to the
HID protocol through the SPI bus. However, it is incompatible with
Microsoft's HID-over-SPI protocol.
NOTE: these bindings are distinct from the bindings used with the
GT7986U when the chip is running I2C firmware. For some background,
see discussion on the mailing lists in the thread:

Convert the mfd: mediatek: mt6397 binding to DT schema format.
MT6323, MT6358, and MT6397 are PMIC devices with multiple function
subdevices. They share a common PMIC design but have variations in
subdevice combinations.
Key updates in this conversion:
1. RTC:
- Convert rtc-mt6397.txt and merge into parent MT6397 PMIC DT schema.
2. Regulators:
- Align to generic name "regulators".
- Update references from .txt to .yaml for mt6323, mt6358, and mt6397
regulators.
- Simplify regulator name labels in device tree examples.
3. Audio Codec:
- Simplify Audio Codec part with updating compatible items.
- Align to generic name "audio-codec" for codec and sound subdevices.
4. Clocks:
- Align to generic name "clocks" for clockbuffer subdevices.
5. LEDs:
- Convert leds-mt6323.txt and merge into parent MT6397 PMIC DT schema.
- Update LED binding.
6. Keys:
- Add detailed descriptions for power and home keys.
- Add compatible: mediatek,mt6358-keys.
7. Power Controller:
- Convert mt6323-poweroff.txt and merge into parent MT6397 PMIC DT
schema.
- Add #power-domain-cells property to fix dt-binding check error.
- Clarify "BBPU" as "Baseband power up".
8. Pinctrl:
- Align to generic name "pinctrl" instead of "pin-controller".
9. Compatible:
- Drop "mediatek,mt6357" since there is a separated DT Schema
for PMIC MT6357.
10. Examples:
- MT6323: Retain complete examples for this PMIC.
- MT6358 and MT6397: simplify settings in regulators.
- Preserve "audio-codec", "clocks", "pinctrl", "rtc", and "keys"
sections as they contain typical settings for different PMICs.
Additional updates:
- MAINTAINERS: Add co-maintainers and reference to
mfd/mediatek,mt6397.yaml for LED and power-controller drivers.
- input/mediatek,pmic-keys.yaml: Update reference to
mfd/mediatek,mt6397.yaml.

Pull HID fix from Jiri Kosina:
"A revert of Device Tree binding for Goodix SPI HID driver (while
keeping ACPI still available), as it conflicted with already existing
binding and the original submitter didn't respond in time with a fix.
We will be looking into ways how to reintroduce it properly (we have
to agree on a way how to handle cases where vendor uses the very same
product ID for I2C and SPI parts, leading to this kind conflict). But
before that is settled, let's revert the to unbreak everybody else

This reverts commit 9184b17fbc23 ("dt-bindings: input: Goodix SPI HID
Touchscreen") because it duplicates existing binding leadings to errors:
goodix,gt7986u.example.dtb:
touchscreen@0: compatible: 'oneOf' conditional failed, one must be fixed:
['goodix,gt7986u'] is too short
'goodix,gt7375p' was expected
This was reported on mailing list on 6th of September, but no reaction
happened from contributor or maintainer to fix it.
Therefore let's drop binding which breaks and duplicates existing one.

Adding software support for enabling the pure gpio capability of the
device - which allows all I/O to be used as GPIO. Previously, I/O
configuration was limited by software to partial GPIO support only.
When working in a pure gpio mode, the device does not require the
certain properties and hence, the following are now made optional:
- interrupts
- keypad,num-rows
- keypad,num-columns
- linux,keymap
However, note that the above are required to be specified when
configuring the device as a keypad, for which dependencies have been added
such that specifying either one requires the remaining as well.
Also, note that interrupts are made optional, but required when the device
has either been configured in keypad mode or as an interrupt controller.
This has been done since they may not necessarily be used when leveraging
the device purely for GPIO.

When the power supply is shared with other peripherals the reset line
can be wired in such a way that it can remain deasserted regardless of
whether the supply is on or not.
This is important as it can be used to avoid holding the controller in
reset for extended periods of time when it remains powered, something
which can lead to increased power consumption. Leaving reset deasserted
also avoids leaking current through the reset circuitry pull-up
resistors.
Add a new 'no-reset-on-power-off' devicetree property which can be used
by the OS to determine when reset needs to be asserted on power down.
Note that this property can also be used when the supply cannot be
turned off by the OS at all.

The Ilitek ILI2901 touch screen controller was apparently incorrectly
added to the Elan eKTH6915 schema simply because it also has a reset
gpio and is currently managed by the Elan driver in Linux.
The two controllers are not related even if an unfortunate wording in
the commit message adding the Ilitek compatible made it sound like they
were.
Add a dedicated schema for the ILI2901 which does not specify the I2C
address (which is likely 0x41 rather than 0x10 as for other Ilitek touch
controllers) to avoid cluttering the Elan schema with unrelated devices
and to make it easier to find the correct schema when adding further
Ilitek controllers.
