2017-08-01iwlwifi: reorganize firmware APIJohannes Berg
Apart from DVM, all firmware uses the same base API, and there's code outside iwlmvm that needs to interact with it. Reflect this in the source better and reorganize the firmware API to a new fw/api/ directory. While at it, split the already pretty large fw-api.h file into a number of smaller files, going from almost 3k lines in there to a maximum number of lines less than 1k. 2017-06-29iwlwifi: mvm: fix a bunch of kernel-doc warningsJohannes Berg
Fix the kernel-doc, and remove some fields even the firmware doesn't use in ToF, RX, scan, station and generic FW APIS. Signed-off-by: Johannes Berg <johannes.berg@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Luca Coelho <luciano.coelho@intel.com>
2017-06-29iwlwifi: mvm: fix various "Excess ... description" kernel-doc warningsJohannes Berg
Fix various "Excess struct/union/enum/typedef member '...' description in '...'" warnings from kernel-doc, mostly caused by typos. Signed-off-by: Johannes Berg <johannes.berg@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Luca Coelho <luciano.coelho@intel.com>
2017-06-23iwlwifi: mvm: document assoc_beacon_arrive_timeLuca Coelho
Document the assoc_beacon_arrive_time element in the iwl_mac_data_sta struct. Signed-off-by: Luca Coelho <luciano.coelho@intel.com>
2017-06-02iwlwifi: mvm: add documentation links to various fieldsJohannes Berg

2017-04-25iwlwifi: mvm: support station type APISara Sharon
Support change to ADD_STA API to support station types. Each station is assigned its type. This simplifies FW handling of the broadcast and multicast stations: * broadcast station is identified by its type and not the mac address. * multicast queue is no longer treated differently. The opening and closing of it is done by referring to its station. There is no need to specify it in the MAC command. * When disabling TX to all station driver can disable the traffic on multicast station, so FW doesn't have to do it. Change is backward compatible. Change the order of adding and removing the stations according to FW requirements. Signed-off-by: Sara Sharon <sara.sharon@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Luca Coelho <luciano.coelho@intel.com>
2017-04-19iwlwifi: mvm: prepare for station count changeSara Sharon
In a000 devices we will support up to 32 stations. The max station define is used also for invalid station marking which makes finding usages of actual maximum station pretty hard to sort through - change it to be a different define in order to make future changes easier. Use also ARRAY_SIZE intead of define when possible. Do not move yet to 32 stations until firmware do it though. 2017-02-03iwlwifi: mvm: support new statistics APIsSara Sharon
For CDB arch there is another auxiliary mac. Support statistics APIs that were changed to reflect that. Signed-off-by: Sara Sharon <sara.sharon@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Luca Coelho <luciano.coelho@intel.com>
2016-07-06iwlwifi: mvm: support new statistics notificationSara Sharon
For 9000 family we will get extended statistics notification with averaged data for RSSI, TCM and rogue AP detection. Support it. Future patches will added the required algorithms. Signed-off-by: Sara Sharon <sara.sharon@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Luca Coelho <luciano.coelho@intel.com>
