2024-03-04ALSA: ac97: More cleanup with snd_ctl_find_id_mixer()Takashi Iwai
There was one overlooked place to be replaced with snd_ctl_find_id_mixer() for code simplification. No functional change, only code refactoring. Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20240304082158.8583-1-tiwai@suse.de Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>
2023-07-21ALSA: ac97: Use the standard snd_ctl_add_followers() helperTakashi Iwai
Instead of open-code, use the new standard helper to manage vmaster stuff for code simplification. Except for a debug print, there should be no functional change. Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20230721071643.3631-3-tiwai@suse.de Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>
2023-07-21ALSA: ac97: Simplify with snd_ctl_find_id_mixer()Takashi Iwai
Replace an open code with the new snd_ctl_find_id_mixer(). There is no functional change. Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20230720082108.31346-12-tiwai@suse.de Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>
2023-02-01mfd: remove ucb1400 supportArnd Bergmann
The ucb1400 MFD driver and its gpio and touchscreen child drivers were only used on a few PXA machines that were unused for a while and are now removed. Removing these leaves the AC97 support as ALSA specific, no other drivers are now connected through this interface. 2021-06-09ALSA: ac97: Fix assignment in if conditionTakashi Iwai
AC97 codec driver code contains a lot of assignments in if condition, which is a bad coding style that may confuse readers and occasionally lead to bugs. This patch is merely for coding-style fixes, no functional changes. Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20210608140540.17885-35-tiwai@suse.de Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>
2020-07-20ALSA: Replace the word "slave" in vmaster APITakashi Iwai
Follow the recent inclusive terminology guidelines and replace the word "slave" in vmaster API. I chose the word "follower" at this time since it seems fitting for the purpose. Note that the word "master" is kept in API, since it refers rather to audio master volume control. Also, while we're at it, a typo in comments is corrected, too. 2020-07-15ALSA: ac97: Replace the words white/blacklistTakashi Iwai
Follow the recent inclusive terminology guidelines and replace the words "whitelist" and "blacklist" appropriately. Only comment or function/variable renames, no functional changes. Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20200714172631.25371-3-tiwai@suse.de Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>

2020-01-05ALSA: ac97: More constificationsTakashi Iwai
Apply const prefix to each possible place: the static tables for registers and bits, the quirk tables, etc. Just for minor optimization and no functional changes. Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20200105144823.29547-11-tiwai@suse.de Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>
2020-01-03ALSA: ac97: Constify snd_ac97_res_table definitionTakashi Iwai
One snd_ac97_res_table definition remains forgotten without const. Let's add it for a bit of optimization. There should be no functional changes by this patch. Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20200103081714.9560-46-tiwai@suse.de Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>

2012-09-06ALSA: ac97: Implement channel map workaround for ALC650Takashi Iwai
ALC650 has a channel swap option between surround and CLFE channels, so we need to tweak the channel maps dynamically depending on the register bit. Now struct snd_ac97 can contain chmap pointers for playback and capture. The driver may store these and let ac97 driver changing the channel mapping dynamically. 2008-05-05[ALSA] ac97 - Add a workaround for broken quirk for VT1617A codecTakashi Iwai
On boards with VT1617A codec, the sound disappears suddenly. This looks like a problem with HPE-bit control that is supposed to be set in patch_vt1617a().
