2024-06-27selftest: af_unix: Remove test_unix_oob.c.Kuniyuki Iwashima
test_unix_oob.c does not fully cover AF_UNIX's MSG_OOB functionality, thus there are discrepancies between TCP behaviour. Also, the test uses fork() to create message producer, and it's not easy to understand and add more test cases. Let's remove test_unix_oob.c and rewrite a new test. 2023-01-09af_unix: selftest: Fix the size of the parameter to connect()Mirsad Goran Todorovac
Adjust size parameter in connect() to match the type of the parameter, to fix "No such file or directory" error in selftests/net/af_unix/ test_oob_unix.c:127. The existing code happens to work provided that the autogenerated pathname is shorter than sizeof (struct sockaddr), which is why it hasn't been noticed earlier. Visible from the trace excerpt: bind(3, {sa_family=AF_UNIX, sun_path="unix_oob_453059"}, 110) = 0 clone(child_stack=NULL, flags=CLONE_CHILD_CLEARTID|CLONE_CHILD_SETTID|SIGCHLD, child_tidptr=0x7fa6a6577a10) = 453060 [pid <child>] connect(6, {sa_family=AF_UNIX, sun_path="unix_oob_45305"}, 16) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory) BUG: The filename is trimmed to sizeof (struct sockaddr). 2022-03-18af_unix: Support POLLPRI for OOB.Kuniyuki Iwashima
The commit 314001f0bf92 ("af_unix: Add OOB support") introduced OOB for AF_UNIX, but it lacks some changes for POLLPRI. Let's add the missing piece. In the selftest, normal datagrams are sent followed by OOB data, so this commit replaces `POLLIN | POLLPRI` with just `POLLPRI` in the first test case. 2021-09-19selftests: net: af_unix: Fix incorrect args in test result msgShuah Khan
Fix the args to fprintf(). Splitting the message ends up passing incorrect arg for "sigurg %d" and an extra arg overall. The test result message ends up incorrect. test_unix_oob.c: In function ‘main’: test_unix_oob.c:274:43: warning: format ‘%d’ expects argument of type ‘int’, but argument 3 has type ‘char *’ [-Wformat=] 274 | fprintf(stderr, "Test 3 failed, sigurg %d len %d OOB %c ", | ~^ | | | int | %s 275 | "atmark %d\n", signal_recvd, len, oob, atmark); | ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ | | | char * test_unix_oob.c:274:19: warning: too many arguments for format [-Wformat-extra-args] 274 | fprintf(stderr, "Test 3 failed, sigurg %d len %d OOB %c ", Signed-off-by: Shuah Khan <skhan@linuxfoundation.org> Signed-off-by: David S. 2021-08-04af_unix: Add OOB supportRao Shoaib
This patch adds OOB support for AF_UNIX sockets. The semantics is same as TCP. The last byte of a message with the OOB flag is treated as the OOB byte. The byte is separated into a skb and a pointer to the skb is stored in unix_sock. The pointer is used to enforce OOB semantics.
